Missing from this shot of the Ryohitsu Shibuya family are only Madoka, a student in Stanford Medical school, San Francisco, and Takeshi--eldest of the sons, an electrical engineer in Minneapolis. Shown here from left to right are, Yoshimaro, Masago, father Ryohitsu, and Maremaro, youngest of the Shibuyas of the Chrysanthemum Shibuyas. Famous throughout Central California as the producers of the Shibuya strain of chrysanthemums, this family specialized in the production of the glorious Fall Football blooms and in education of its Nisei. Here is the education box score to date: Takeshi--Master of Electrical Engineering; Madoka--Master of Chemistry and now a Junior in the School of Medicine; Madoka-- Master in History, Stanford University; Yoshimaro--A.B. in Electrical Engineering, University of Nebraska; Maremaro--High School Sophomore enroute to Stanford; Mana--Sophomore at Francis Shimmer College (Girls), Mount Carroll, Illinois, where she recently received a scholarship for 1946. Mana is the only Nisei girl at Francis Shimmer.
