1st Lt. Shigeru Tsubota points out where he was serving in Italy with the 100th Battalion. Lt. Tsubota is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and did post graduate work in vocational education, specializing in agriculture. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the reserve in Jan. 1940, called into active service in March, 1941, and promoted to 1st Lt. in August 1942.
