A former San Francisco art shop sales girl, Tae Doi, now works in a Manhattan specialty shop. Tae was born and lived in San Francisco until the evacuation of all persons of Japanese ancestry from the west coast. She went to the Central Utah Relocation Center and then relocated in New York.
