Ryohitsu Shibuya, successful chrysanthemum grower, who arrived in this country from Japan in 1904 with $60.00 and a basket
of clothes, is shown above on his farm in Santa Clara County, before evacuation. He grew prize chrysanthemums for select eastern
markets. Horticulturists and other evacuees of Japanese ancestry will be given opportunities to follow their callings at War
Relocation Authority centers where they will spend the duration. --
