Ryohitsu Shibuya, successful chrysanthemum grower, who arrived in this country from Japan in 1904 with $60.00 and a basket of clothes, is shown above on his farm in Santa Clara County, before evacuation. He grew prize chrysanthemums for select eastern markets.
