Title:
Pvt. Kenichi Kawakami receives physio-therapy treatments at the Moore General Hospital, Swannanoa, North Carolina. Pvt. Kawakami
was serving with the 100th Battalion in Italy when he was wounded in action by shrapnel fragments. He was inducted into the
army in November, 1941 in Hawaii and was stationed at Schofield Barracks the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. As are many
of the other wounded Nisei, he is anxious to rejoin his outfit if he has the assurance that he is physically fit and will
not be hampered by the shrapnel wound in his shoulder. --
