Planters Hotel, the second hotel located at the northwest corner of Center Street (now Lincoln Ave.) and Los Angeles Street
(now Anaheim Blvd.); built within six months after the previous Planters Hotel, originally constructed by John Fischer in
1865, burned down in 1871; the second structure was also lost to fire in 1890; image shows full view of hotel with stage coach,
horse-drawn wagon, and several figures; also shows adjacent building with a barber shop (later sold to Willard A. Frantz in
1885) with sign above the barbershop doorway that reads "FRANK EY" and to the lower right a sign that reads "CIGARS."
